Job opening: Full-stack AI Engineer in Haarlem

What you'll build

We started by reading transport orders. Today Chainfill is an AI-native data platform woven into the Dutch transport sector.

Logistics companies run their daily operations on what we build: the AI model that reads the waybill, the rules that check the data, the integration with the customer's TMS and the screen a planner works in all day.

Everyone builds Chainfill: developers, customer success and implementation. We don't split the work into separate frontend, backend and AI teams. Whoever builds something owns it until it works for the customer.

How we build

We build differently from most software companies. Our engineers work close to the customer and move fast. When a customer asks for a new integration or a change to their process, it's often live within a few days.

No long roadmaps and no handoffs between departments: you talk to the customer, build the solution and ship it yourself. That takes people who look beyond their ticket.

What you'll do as a Full-stack AI Engineer

• Build features from database to UI with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Next.js and TypeScript, run them on Azure and follow them in production with Datadog and ClickHouse.
• Work on the AI that reads and checks transport orders, invoices, CMRs and EDI messages.
• Build integrations with our customers' TMS, ERP and WMS systems.
• Talk to customers yourself and ship your own work.

• A generalist who treats frontend, backend and AI as their own territory.
• Someone who takes initiative without being asked.
• Someone who wants to build something that matters, and is ready to go all in.
• Junior or senior: we look at what you've built and how fast you learn, not at your years of experience.

What we offer

• €3,500 to €5,000 gross per month, depending on your experience.
• A full-time seat at our office in Haarlem, with the whole team.
